Glory of God

For from Him and through Him and for Him are all things.
To Him be the glory forever! Amen
Romans 11:36

Glory of God

Jesus, once more deeply moved, came to the tomb. It was a cave with a stone laid across the entrance. “Take away the stone,” He said. But, Lord,” said Martha, the sister of the dead man, by this time there is a bad odor, for he has been there four days.”Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?   John 11:38-40

We all go through various trials and tribulations which is like going through the fire and even though we are desperate for a quick end to it, it keeps burning. When we go through such situations our faith levels can suffer and we can often be discouraged. We could call this our time of testing.

Martha and Mary called Jesus to visit their sick brother but Jesus on purpose delayed His coming and when He eventually arrived, Lazarus was dead for over four days and was placed in the tomb after all the ceremonial duties were done.

When we are under pressing situations all we want is a quick solution.  Martha and Mary too wanted an immediate response when their brother was sick but the Lord thought otherwise.

When we go through the fire and come out unhurt is the time we see the glory of the Lord. When Lazarus came out of the grave the glory of the Lord was seen. Similarly when Daniel came out of the Lion’s den unhurt, the glory of God was seen

The Lesson for us today is that through situations if we hold on to Him, God’s glory will be seen in our lives. Let us not fear or be dismayed. He is able to change even a dead and stinking situation to reveal His glory.

Dear Lord,

I thank you Lord for this day and let your glory be seen in my life.  Amen

God bless you
Your obedient servants in Christ,
Theo and Manju
