But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because He is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. Luke 6:35
Bless those who curse you
I know that you will surely be king and that the kingdom of Israel will be established in your hands. 1 Samuel 24:20
Saul was after David to destroy him but his efforts were not successful. But the Lord delivered Saul into the hands of David. This was a test for David and he came out of it clean saying, “‘I will not stretch out my hand against my lord, for he is the Lord’s anointed.” (1 Samuel 24:10) We can learn three important truths from it this morning
First we see that David loved his enemy and did not do any harm to him. Second he did not lift his hand against the Lord’s anointed and take over the Kinship before the appointed time. Third he was able to receive words of blessing from the enemy over his future.
A man who wanted to kill him proclaimed that he would succeed him as king. How wonderful is that? Let us, this morning seek the Lord to give us the same attitude of David so that we will have the favour of God.
Dear Lord,
I thank you for this day. As You have paid the price for all my sins and have continued to love me, even though may I do the same for others. Amen
God bless you
